Practical advice on mobile devices

Clever iPhone application makes it easy to find notes and other unstructured information / 20.07.2009 07:09

Enplay Neuromobile
We must have tried hundreds of techniques that were supposed to keep our memory straight and things organized. We have learned that the key to success is to write things down immediately, without trying to find pen and paper. Another thing we have learned is that the notepad must be electronic and it has to be always (we really mean always) with us. So, a mobile phone is the obvious choice. The problem is, however, which application is good enough for writing down all kinds of unstructured information and above all, which application allows searhing for old and forgotten notes?
Enplay Neuromobile
Enplay has developed a clever notepad application for the Apple iPhone, called Neuromobile. Just like any other notepad application, Neuromobile lets you write down notes and save them on the phone. It's a good start, but will not help if you really start using an application like this. You will have hundreds, or thousands of unstructured items saved on the device. You need an intuitive way to find the required piece of information. That is why Neuromobile application is storing clues with the notes. Clues are like keywords or tags that you can associate to the original item when you try to remember what you wrote down.

For instance, you have dinner at a conference. You exchange business cards with ten people, but there is one particular person yuo want to contact later. If you just enter his or her contact information into the phonebook application, it is difficult to remember after a month who the person was. If you write down the contact information in Neuromobile and apply clues to the note, you can refer to the conference in order to find him or her. The Neuromobile application is available for download at the App Store.
