Powerful netbook PC for graphics intensive computing and gaming from Asus / 23.11.2009 03:24

Asus Eee PC 1201N
Asus ignited the frenzy for compact netbook PCs when it introduced the original Eee PC product a few years ago. It was a tiny under-powered Linux netbook targeted at children and teens. Every PC manufacturer instantly realized the market potential of netbook PCs and started marketing smaller, larger, and more powerful models. Now, Asus has introduced a netbook that takes the netbook concept to a new level. The new product is still compact, but designed for gaming and graphics intensive computing.

The Asus Eee PC 1201N netbook comes with high-resolution 12.1-inch screen. The display resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels. The netbook has a dedicated Nvidia Ion graphics adapter. The processing power for the netbook comes from Intel Atom 330 Dual Core processor.

Other key features of the Asus Eee PC 1201N are 2 or 3GB of RAM memory, 250 or 320GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 0.3 megapixel webcam, stereo speakers, built-in microphone, VGA and HDMI ports, and memory card reader. For a netbook, the machine is pretty heavy at 1.46kg/3.22lbs. The dimensions of the unit are 29.6 x 20.8 x 2.7-3.3 cm. The included six-cell battery is supposed to power the netbook for five hours. The Asus Eee PC 1201N runs on Windows 7 operating system software.
