The stylish red Fujitsu LifeBook MH380 netbook has seven hours of battery capacity / 22.12.2009 06:08
Years ago, when we got our first laptop and our first mobile phone, no one cared what they looked like. It was enough to have a valuable product that let us do useful things with it. Manufacturers quickly realized it was easier to sell products that were designed to please the eye rather than fit well into a square box. Today, mobile phones come in many shapes, sizes and colors, and laptops have developed into slim powerhouses. Now, small laptop PCs, netbooks, have entered the development stage where manufacturers have to give some thought to the design of the units.
Fujitsu has designed a number of netbook PCs and touch screen PCs that are available in Japan or in other parts of Asia, but not around the world. Now, the company has introduced a stylish netbook in the U.S. The red Fujitsu LifeBook MH380 netbook has 10.1-inch screen in 1366x768 resolution. It is powered by Microsoft's latest operating system software Windows 7 Starter and Intel's Atom N450 processor. Fujitsu is promising 7 hours of battery life for the compact netbook. That's pretty good for a six-cell battery, considering the netbook has 250GB hard drive.
Other deatures of the Fujitsu LifeBook MH380 are 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and Webcam. It may be a good idea to upgrade the RAM to 2GB for better performance with Windows 7. Fujitsu expects the retail price for th netbook to be around $449. Another stylish netbook is, for instance, the HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition.
